On the morning of March 31, Luo Dajin, chairman of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM), met with Prof. Dr. Bertram Lohmuelle, director of Steinbeis Global Institute Tübingen (SGIT), and his colleagues.

Luo talked about Shanghai’s endeavors to build itself into a globally influential sci-tech innovation center, and highlighted the city’s incentive measures to encourage local universities, institutes, and enterprises to make more innovations in key areas, such as integrated circuit, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and green technologies. He welcomed Steinbeis, a world-renowned German technology transfer company, to land in Shanghai, and hoped that Shanghai and Steinbeis would deepen their pragmatic cooperation in coordinated innovation, startup incubation, and fostering of technology transfer professionals, so as to jointly builda global innovation cooperation network.

Prof. Lohmuelle introduced Steinbeis’s development and intention for cooperation. He said Steinbeis values Shanghai’s leading role in the Yangtze River Delta, in China and around the world, and regards it as a key link in the company’s global layout. Steinbeis looks forward to leveraging both international and domestic resources in Shanghai and furthering their collaboration in a wider scope and on a deeper level.

The meeting was attended by Ma Juan, chief representative of China, Steinbeis SIBE (School of International Business and Entrepreneurship), Zheng Xi, director of Steinbeis Shanghai, and relevant personnel from STCSM and the National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center (NETC).
