On the morning of March 28, Luo Dajin, chairmanof the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM), met with Lynn Li, managing director of Greater China forElsevier and her colleagues.

Luo talked about Shanghai’s endeavors to build itself into a globally influential sci-tech innovationcenter, and highlighted the city’s efforts to boost cutting-edge technologies and basic research and deepen international S&T cooperation in key areas, including integrated circuit, biomedicine,and artificial intelligence. He hoped that STCSM and Elsevier will build stronger cooperation in analytical solutions, think-tank building, and academic publications and exchanges.

Li outlined Elsevier’s development around the globe, particularly in China, and emphasized that Shanghai is a major partner and innovation base for the company. She expressed her expectation to further collaborate with STCSM and contribute to building Shanghai into a sci-tech innovation center.
