On May 23, Shang Yuying, deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Municipal Government,met with Todd Dollinger, Chair and CEO of the Trendlines Group. Luo Dajin, chairman of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM),attended the meeting.

Shang Yuying welcomed Todd Dollinger. She admired Trendlines’ success in incubator development and investment.She praised Trendlines’ presence at the China-Israel Innovation Hub as a boost to China-Israel innovation cooperation. Shang pointed out that Shanghai is in a critical stage of building itself into a global center for S&T innovation, during which the city focuses on basic research capability and core technologies in key fields, speeds up the commercialization of achievements in basic research and applied research, and accelerates the building of high-quality representative incubators.

Yuying urged Trendlines to bring to Shanghai its innovative strengths and R&D experience in medical appliances and its featured incubator model in Israel and Singapore.She also urged Trendlines to better demonstrate its role as a high-quality incubator.

Todd Dollinger appreciated the support of the Shanghai Municipal Government and Putuo District Government for Trendlines’ Shanghai Innovation Center. He pointed out that Trendlines has always attached importance to close cooperation with governments and industrial partners. Trendlines established the Shanghai Innovation Center because it believes in the city’s future. Expressing his hope for deeper cooperation between the two sides, Dollinger said he will align Trendlines’ mission of improving the quality of human life with Shanghai’s goal of becoming an international S&T innovation center, and better assist in the city’s innovation and entrepreneurship with high-quality incubators.

Trendlines Group is an Israeli investment group and a world-renowned incubator for medical appliances and agri-food technology. Founded in Israel in 2007, the company set up an innovation center in Singapore and went public at the Singapore Stock Exchange in 2017. In 2020, Trendlines opened its third global innovation center at the China-Israel Innovation Hub in Shanghai.
